Hi Merry Fellow Witches:

The Magick Cauldron is revamping our store, so keep a look out for some cosmically cool changes.  I've been a little bored lately with all the cold weather, so I've been playing with some interesting new ideas...so keep an eye on us over the next couple of weeks!

January is a time of reflection especially in the cold and frozen north in which we find ourselves.  It's an especially good time to meditate on the year ahead in front of a crackling fire if you are able.  Here's a special fire meditation to prepare for Imbolc - the next holiday in the ever turning Wheel of the Year.

The Magick Cauldron has all the supplies that you need for this meditation: a white visionary candle, third eye oil, psychic enhancement incense, parchment paper, a polished piece of quartz or spirit window quartz.

First: Visualize and cast a Circle in your favorite tradition.(make sure to call the quarters)  Invoke the Goddess of the Witches, Hecate.

"Oh Great Goddess of the Crossroads, Goddess of the Witches, Hecate, I invoke thee to be here now and assist me on my journey of reflection and inspiration, Blessed Be to you!"

Annoint your candle with third eye oil (available at the Magick Cauldron), while clearing your mind of all mundane concerns.  "I annoint you in the name of Hecate to bring clarity of purpose and reflection to me."

Light the incense & candle: "Candle Light, Candle Bright glowing brightly bold. bring me a vision pure as gold.  Let my vision be a reflection of my true being, my soul's purpose bright for the seeing.  By the power of three times three let it be, let it be."

Now,stare into the flame of the candle and concentrate on the flame allow yourself to be open to the visions that will be coming into your being.  AFter you are finished and have found a reflective purpose, write an affirmation on your parchment paper and wrap it around the crystal.  Keep it with you until your vision is made real.

Close your Circle.  Say thank you to Hecate in your own way for helping and release Her.  Do your dismissals and release your Circle according to your favorite tradition.

 This is one of my favorites from my personal Book of Shadows.  It has never failed me.  It has given me goals, reflections and purpose.
